November 2007

Dear Mill Valley
On election night in Mill Valley I was at once thrilled, honored and then humbled by the voice of our community as expressed at the polls. I deeply understand the responsibility that you have placed in the hands of your City Council and with your participation, input and involvement; we will work as hard as we can for the benefit of all in Mill Valley. But to do this we need your participation, input and involvement. We will listen.

I cannot effectively express my gratitude to those who helped in my campaign and, of course, to those who voted for me. I also want to thank Stephanie, Garry, Maureen, Kerry and George and their supporters for their participation, dedication and involvement. This was an exercise in pure democracy. We went door to door, spoke at forums and anywhere else where you would listen - even if it interfered with your grocery shopping. You listened and you voted. Thank you for voting, regardless of for whom you voted.

While there are issues that need to be addressed, we all have one goal: To keep Mill Valley a marvelous and vibrant place to live. And we should pursue that goal together. We have a lot of exciting opportunities and hard work ahead of us. With your help we will succeed together.
